Hero of You reviews
If you are trying to work out whether this is worth buying, reviews are only half the answer - especially in a category where anyone can type a testimonial into a page. So this page has both: the reviews we actually have, and the things you can check for yourself before you spend anything.
What you can check before you pay

Common questions
Is Hero of You a legitimate company?
Yes, and here is what you can check rather than take on trust: checkout runs through Stripe, so card details never reach our servers; you approve every page before anything is printed; the photo you upload is deleted once your child's character has been drawn; and there is a named refund and reprint policy on the site. Each of those has its own page, linked below, and each one is a promise you can hold us to after you have paid.
Are the reviews on this page real?
They are. A review can only be written by someone with a paid order containing that book - the form is closed to everyone else - or imported from feedback a customer actually sent us. We do not write reviews and we do not buy them. That is also why there are not many of them yet: we would rather show a short honest list than a long invented one.
What happens if the book arrives damaged or wrong?
You approve every page before it prints. Damaged or misprinted? We reprint and ship a replacement free.
What happens to my child's photograph?
It is used to draw the illustrated character and then deleted. Family books keep the photos until the faces are approved, and no longer than seven days. The full policy, including what is stored and for how long, is on the photo privacy page.
Can I see the book before I pay?
Yes. The cover and the first chapter are generated free, with no card, so you can see whether the illustrated hero actually looks like your child before deciding. That preview is the whole point - a personalized book you cannot see first is a gamble.
