Your copy does not exist until you order it, so a made-to-order book takes longer than one off a shelf. Here is exactly how much longer, per country, and the last day to approve your book for each occasion.
Two things worth knowing before the table. First, the clock starts when you approve your book, not when you pay - nothing is sent to the printer until you have seen every page and said yes, so the time you spend reviewing is yours, not ours. Second, these are the windows our print partner actually quotes us, including production. We would rather give you a date you can plan around than a cheerful estimate you cannot.

Common questions
How long does a personalized book take to arrive?
Six days to the United Kingdom, six to eight to Germany, nine to ten in the United States, and nine to fourteen to Ireland. The clock starts when you approve your book for printing, not when you pay, because nothing is printed until you have seen every page. The digital edition is instant.
Why does it take longer than a normal book?
Because your copy does not exist until you order it. Every book is written and illustrated for one named child, then printed individually. That is the trade: a book that is genuinely about your child cannot be picked off a shelf.
Will it arrive in time for the occasion?
Check the approve-by date for your country in the table on this page. If the date has passed, buy the digital edition instead - it unlocks the moment you approve it and never misses a date. You can always add the printed keepsake afterwards.
Will I pay customs, duty or import VAT?
No. Your book is printed in your own country and travels on a domestic courier, so it never crosses a border. In the United Kingdom printed books are zero-rated for VAT as well, so there is nothing to pay on arrival.
Is shipping included in the price?
No - the book price is separate from shipping, and we quote shipping live for your exact address before you pay, so you see the real total rather than an estimate.
What happens if it arrives late or damaged?
Send us a photo and we reprint it free, with no time limit and without asking you to post anything back. If tracking shows it never arrived, we reprint after checking with the carrier.
