My First Day of School is for the fortnight before term, when a child has started asking the same question every evening. It walks through the morning in order, arrives at a corner of the classroom that belongs to them, and ends with the day being over and survived. Nurseries and reception teachers are the reason it sells in August.

Two to eight, though its real home is three to five. Older children who are moving schools rather than starting them still use it, because the shape of the fear is identical. Sentence length follows the reading level you choose at setup.
