A peek inside

How the adventure unfolds

These are just sample lines. Your book is written fresh for your child - their name woven through every page, with the words, sentence length and tone tuned to their age, and shaped by the story, interests and details you choose.

Your child mid-lift, one hand under the corner of a very ordinary living-room couch.
Chapter One

A Secret Power

It started on an ordinary morning, until your child lifted the whole couch with one hand.

Your child mid-lift, one hand under the corner of a very ordinary living-room couch.

The first flight over the rooftops, cape full of wind and both arms locked straight out.
Chapter Two

The Cape

With a swoosh of a brand-new cape, your child soared above the rooftops for the very first time.

The first flight over the rooftops, cape full of wind and both arms locked straight out.

Back on the ground, helping somebody up. No powers involved, which is the whole point.
Chapter Three

The Real Hero

When trouble came to town, your child learned the greatest power of all is being kind.

Back on the ground, helping somebody up. No powers involved, which is the whole point.

These three sample the opening, middle and ending of a 12-chapter book. All twelve are drawn with your child in them when the book is made: the cover and chapter one free in your preview, the remaining eleven once you order.

Is this the one?

Who Superhero is for

Superhero is the one to reach for when a child has more energy than the day has room for. The power arrives on the first page and the cape on the second, so a reader who normally stalls has something waiting before the story asks anything of them. Parents pick it after a hard week at school, and for the child who has started saying they are not good at anything.

Four to eight. Younger readers take it as a story about flying. Older ones notice that the rescue in the last chapter needs no powers at all, which is the point the book is quietly making. Reading level is set during setup, so the same story can be read aloud to a four-year-old and read alone by a seven-year-old.

For Noah, who has always been the one who checks that everybody else is alright.

Common questions

What age is Superhero for?

Superhero is written for ages 4-8. The story is generated at the reading level you pick during setup, so the same book works at the younger or older end of that range.

How is Superhero personalized?

You upload one photo of your child. That photo becomes the illustrated hero - same face shape, hair and skin tone - and stays recognizable across all 12 chapters. Their name, age and a dedication are woven in too.

How long is the book, and what formats are there?

Twelve illustrated chapters, one full-page illustration per chapter. Digital is $14.90, softcover $38.90 and hardcover $42.90 plus shipping; the hardcover is a 8x8 inch matt-laminated keepsake.

Can I see it before I pay?

Yes. The cover and the whole first chapter - artwork included - are generated free. You only pay if you want the remaining eleven chapters.
