Little Graduate marks the end of nursery or reception, and it is bought by the adult who is more moved by it than the child is. It looks backward rather than forward: what was learned, who was there, how much bigger everything got. It works as a keepsake more than as a bedtime story.

Two to six. This is one of the few where the narrow range is honest, because it is tied to an event that only happens once at that age. An older sibling will find it babyish, which is fine. Reading level set at setup.
