How ordering a personalized book for every child in a class works
Paste a class list, send one link per parent, watch it fill up, and one parcel arrives at the school. Here is every step, including what a parent sees and what happens when one never replies.
Search for this and you will be told to contact suppliers directly for a quote, because bulk ordering normally means thirty copies of one book and personalising normally means one child at a time. This is neither. It is self-serve, you can set the whole thing up in an evening, and nothing here needs an email exchange with a salesperson.
1. Paste your class list
One name per line, straight from the register you already keep. Names are optional - if you would rather not type twenty-seven of them, leave the list as placeholders and each parent fills in their own child's name and its real spelling.
You also choose one story for the class at this point, and you can override it for individual children if one of them would rather have the dinosaurs than the space station.
2. See it before you commit anything
You get the cover and a real chapter of the actual story, not a sample of a different book. This is deliberately before the pay button: you should not be asked to commit a class to something you have only read a description of.
The full price is on the same screen - per book, class total, and the single delivery charge quoted for your address.
3. Send each parent their own link
Every child gets their own link. You copy them out of your class page and send them however you already talk to your families - WhatsApp, the nursery app, email, a printed slip in a bag.
A parent who opens one sees their own child's name, your setting's name, and a box to add one photo. No account, no app, no password, and nothing at all about any other family in the class. It takes them under a minute on a phone.
A link works once. If it is forwarded to somebody else it will not overwrite the book it belongs to, and you can re-issue a fresh one from your class page whenever you need to.
4. Watch it fill up, and chase the four who have not
Your class page shows every seat and its state: invited, photo received, book made. The number that matters is how many are still outstanding, so that on the last week you are messaging four families rather than reminding all thirty.
If a family will not respond, leave that child out. Their seat is skipped and refunded to whoever paid for it, and the rest of the class prints on time. One unresponsive parent cannot hold up twenty-nine books.
5. Approve, and one parcel arrives
When the class is complete you read it and approve it, and only then does anything go to the printer. The whole class is printed as a single batch and shipped to the setting in one parcel with one delivery charge - not thirty separate deliveries, which is the thing that quietly makes this affordable.
From approval, delivery takes about six days to a UK address and nine to ten inside the United States.
What happens to the photographs
A photograph is used to draw that child's illustrations and is then deleted. It is not shown to any other family, not published anywhere a search engine can reach, and not used to train anything.
Consent is recorded twice: you confirm at the point of ordering that you have each family's permission, and every parent confirms it again themselves on their own upload page before they can send anything.
Common questions
Do parents need to create an account?
No. A parent taps the link you send, adds one photo, ticks the consent box and closes the tab. There is no account, no app and no password anywhere in their part of it.
Can a parent see the other children in the class?
No. Their link shows their own child's name and your setting's name and nothing else - not the class list, not other parents, not how many children are in the order.
What if a parent sends a bad photo?
Ask them to send another and re-issue their link from your class page. The upload page also tells them what works: one clear photo of the face, looking at the camera, in daylight if possible.
How long does the whole thing take?
The photo collection is the slow part and it is up to your families - most classes are complete within a week or two of the links going out. After you approve, printing and delivery is about six days to the UK and nine to ten inside the United States.
Can we order for more than one class?
Yes - run each class as its own order so each one gets its own class page and its own parcel. If you are doing a whole year group and want it in a single delivery, ask us first and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth it.
